TAKING THE LEAD FOR BREEDERS
The Illinois Husbandry and Animal Welfare Association (IHAW) is committed to be the leader in the fight for the preservation of rights of animal owners. We are committed to providing advocacy, information and assistance to enact effective and fair animal husbandry legislation the preserves the rights of responsible animal owners.
ADVOCATES FOR BREEDER
The Illinois Husbandry and Animal Welfare Association (IHAW) is dedicated to support breeders in preserving their rights to privacy and autonomy in developing and maintaining quality breeding programs. The IHAW believes that animals produced in a quality breeding program have historically produced the highest quality animals with the most stable temperaments. The IHAW respects breed history and purpose in determining breed type and understands that individual breeders have the greatest interest in breeding health animals.
MAKING THE DIFFERENCE
All IHAW members pledge to conduct all business in an ethical manner, to follow Illinois law regulations, to keep update on advancements and changes in the industry, and to provide clean, well-

PLANNING, PREPARING AND EXPECTING TO WIN
The IHAW has chosen to be the breeders advocate and stand up for the rights of all animal owners to have the traditional use of their dogs as companion animals or in therapy, herding, guarding, obedience, agility, or hunting activities. At this time, the IHAW sees a number of individuals and organizations throughout Illinois working towards different goals, and we believe that working together, we can maximize our efforts and encourage the best animal breeding management practices to promote proper and ethical pet care and kennel operations.
